Michigan Wine Tasting
Tartan
Hill Winery is a small family owned Award Winning winery that opened in
1985. Following the tradition of the classic wine regions, most of their
wines are made from blends of different grape varieties. That is why
their wines carry proprietary names rather than varietal designations.
Because of their small size, the wines they produce are only available
at a select few stores in west Michigan or at the winery during your
tour.

Lighthouse
Museum Tour
Built
in 1875 by Captain William Robinson, the White River Light Station now
serves as a physical reminder of the rich nautical history of Michigan.
The light house is now a museum and open to the public. You can climb
the spiral staircase to the top of the light house tower, browse the
many 19th and early 20th century photographs, examine the collection of
nautical artifacts and look out across Lake Michigan as the light house
Keeper did a century ago.
Your
innkeeper Larry, was the founding President of the Friends of the White
River Light Station in 2003. We strongly support the restoration and
preservation efforts of this wonderful landmark and the passions of
Karen McDonnell, the lighthouse keeper, curator and protector.
